Beigelegt: maschinengeschr. Abschrift eines Briefes von 9. Dez. 1947 an Lavinia Mazzucchetti (1889-1965). Gr. 8°. 1 S.
Im Brief an Eric Streiff bedankt sich Mann für die Besprechung von "Doktor Faustus": "Meine Spannung, welches Echo dies Buch der Schmerzen, worin von meinem Herzblut mehr ist, als in allen meinen früheren, in der Schweiz finden wird, ist ausserordentlich".
Im Brief an seine italienisch Übersetzerin geht Mann nochmals auf die Aufnahme von "Faustus" in der Schweiz ein: "die Aufnahme übertrifft alle meine Erwartungen und ich kann nur sagen, dass ich der literarischen Schweiz von Herzen dankbar bin".
