1024. Thangka des ersten Panchen Lama

Tibet, 19.Jh. Tempera und Gold auf Leinwand. Thangka des Lobsang Chokyi Gyaltsen (1570–1662), Panchen Lama des Klosters Tashilunpo. Er sitzt in grüner Landschaft auf einem doppelten Thronkissen, in seiner Linken ein Buch haltend und die rechte Hand die vitarka-Mudra zeigend. Im Himmel links sind Chakrasamvara mit Vajrayogini und rechts der Guru Khedrup Sanggye dargestellt. In der Mitte rechts folgt Buddha Maitreya sowie links unten Vaishravana und rechts unten, Begtse Chen. Inschriften auf dem oberen Kissen. 67x40,5. Auf Holz aufgezogen. 112x65 cm. - Knitter, Pigmentverlust.
