Das Bildnis des bergamasker Malers Francesco Zucco ist wohl 1618 entstanden. Es zeigt einen 28- (oder 29-) jährigen Heerführer aus dem Veneto.
Die lateinische Inschrift bedeutet sinngemäss:
Die Seine sah ihn tapfer, die Rhone sah ihn stark,
Der Po hat den Führer aus dem Veneto gesehen;
Gradisca konnte ihn nicht niederstrecken.
Die Kraft der Krankheit hat ihn niedergeworfen.
Die Königin des Meeres hat den noblen Körper.
Mit Gradisca sind die friaulischen Kriege zwischen den Österreichern und der Republik Venedig gemeint, welche von 1612 bis 1617 andauerten.
