How to bid
By submitting a bid, each bidder agrees to be bound by the Conditions of Sale.
International and first-time bidders may be required to provide a copy of a valid passport and references from other auction houses. Schuler Auktionen reserves the right to require a security deposit of up to CHF 10,000. Bids below the lower estimate will not be accepted.
Requests for condition reports and detailed photos must be made at least 24 hours before the start of the auction.
There are several ways to participate in the auction and place a bid:
In person in the saleroom: Available for catalogue lots 2000–3999.
Phone bidding: At your request, we will call you for lots with a lower estimate of at least CHF 1,000, allowing you to participate in the auction by telephone. Registration for telephone bidding must be completed no later than 24 hours before the start of the auction.
Absentee bid: We will execute your bid on your behalf during the auction, seeking to obtain the lot for you at the most favourable price within your specified maximum bid. Please submit a fully completed and signed bidding form by post, fax, email or in person no later than 24 hours before the auction. Available for all catalogue lots.
Online: You can bid live during the auction or place a maximum bid in advance for all catalogue lots via the following platforms:

For catalogue lots 1–1999, participation in the auction is only possible online or by submitting an absentee bid. Please register well in advance.
In the event of identical written absentee bids, written bids submitted directly to Schuler Auktionen will take precedence over written absentee bids submitted online.
Shipping
We do neither pack nor ship ourselves. Our partners for packing and shipping will gladly quote you for international and national shipments. For any information regarding shipment, please contact them directly providing your lot number, the name of the auction house and your invoice:
