Latona mit ihren Kindern Apollo und Diana und die lykischen Bauern. Pastell auf Pergament. 92,5x82,5 cm. Goldrahmen. - Mit repariertem Defekt am rechten Bildrand, sonst gut erhalten.
Eine etwas verkleinerte, wohl zeitgenössiche Kopie des seinerzeit berühmten Gemäldes, das Jouvenet im Auftrag von Grand Dauphin für das Alte Schloss von Meudon gemalt hat (Original heute im Musée nationale de Fontainebleu, Inv.Nr. 5500, eine ebenfalls verkleinerte Variante aus dem Besitz der Fürsten von Salm im Musée d'Epinal). Ausser durch zahlreiche Kopien wurde die Komposition durch einen 1762 entstandenen Kupferstich von Jean Daullé (1703-1763) verbreitet.
