558. Figur "Le porteur d'eau arabe"
Frankreich, Ende 19.Jh. Marcel Debut (1865–1933). Bronze, kaltbemalt. Auf Terrainsockel stehender Araber, einen Wasserkrug an einem Stab über seiner Schulter tragend. Am Sockel bezeichnet: "Debut". H 29,5 cm.
- Altersspuren. Minimal berieben.
Marcel Debut war Schüler seines Vaters Didier Debut (1824–1893), an dessen Figuren er sich stark orientierte. So erinnert sein "Wasserträger" sehr an das Modell von Didier Debut (vgl. Kat. Nr. 557). Sie unterscheiden sich dadurch, dass die eine Figur 2 Wasserkrüge (D. Debut), die andere nur einen Wasserkrug an einem Stab auf der Schulter trägt (M. Debut).
