560. Figur "Nymphe de Diane"
Frankreich, Ende 19.Jh. Lucie Signoret-Ledieu (1858–1904). Bronze mit goldbrauner Patina. Über bewegtem Wasser mit kleinem Seeungeheuer auf einer Felsklippe sitzende Nymphe der Diana. Bogen und Köcher hat sie abgelegt, in der erhobenen rechten Hand hält sie eine Blüte. Am Sockel bezeichnet: "Mme Signoret-Ledieu". Giesserbezeichnung: "A. Basset Editeur". Stempel: "PARIS, AB, (Hundefigur)". Nr. 10408. Auf orignalem Drehsockel. H 66 cm.

Provenance: Schloss Bellikon
Über die französische Bildhauerin Lucie Signoret-Ledieu ist nur wenig bekannt. Sie war Schülerin von Jean Gautherin (1840–1890) und engagierte sich im Frauenkomitee der "L'Union centrale des arts décoratifs". In den 1880/90er Jahren stellte sie mehrmals am "Salon des artistes français" aus. Ihr berühmtestes Werk ist jedoch die Figur der Jeanne d'Arc (1901), welche die Stadt Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier zu Ehren ihrer Befreierin bei der Künstlerin in Auftrag gegeben hatte.
