Skizzenbuch. 72 Bll. (vereinzelt leere Seiten). Qu. 8° (12,5x20,5 cm). Späterer Pp. Bd. - Hs. Besitzereintrag von Otto Wessner auf dem vorderen Innenspiegel. - Gebrauchspuren, etwas locker im Bund, doch gut erhalten.

Sammlung Otto Wessner (1851-1921), St. Gallen
Offensichtlich von mehreren Künstlern verwendet. Angelegt von J. J. Biedermann für seine Figuren- und Tierstudien in Bleistift und Aquarell (Bl.1-42; Wilhelm Tell Bl. 17r) wurde das Skizzenbuch zumindest von zwei späteren Besitzern benutzt (ab Bl.43; anderes Papier!):
1. Zeichnungen nach Conrad Gessner (1764-1826) Bll. 43r, 59v (Soldaten), 54r (weidendes Pferd) und verschiedene Schweizer Ortsansichten (Rickenbach Bl 63r, Ellikon 64r, Dinhard 64v) aber z. B. auch die Dreitfaltigkeitskirche in Stanford, GB, 52r.
2. Schloss Nymphenburg in München Bl. 48r und verschiedene Landschafts- und Naturstudien (Pflanzen), passim.
