719. Entschlafen der Gottesmutter
Russisch, 19.Jh. Tempera über Kreidegrund auf Holz. Auf Goldgrund Darstellung der Gottesmutter auf ihrem Sterbelager, umgeben von Aposteln und Heiligen. Ihre Seele - ein Kind - trägt Christus vor Mandorla. Im Vordergrund schlägt Erzengel Gabriel die Hände des Jechoniak ab, der versucht hat, die Bahre zu stürzen. Im Hintergrund Architekturkulisse. Im Zentrum des oberen Bilddrittels 2 Gottesmutter Themen: "Unüberwindliche Mauer" bzw. Himmelfahrt, umgeben von Heiligen und Engeln auf Wolkensockeln. In der Mitte des oberen Bildrands flankieren Engel die offenen Pforten des Paradieses. 2 Randheilige: Hl. Nikephoros von Antiochien (links) bzw. Hl. Prophetin Anna (rechts). 46,5x40 cm.
