3104. Holland, um 1630/40
Hirte mit Efeukranz im Haar. Öl auf Holz. 55,5x45 cm.
- Schmutzig, unregelmässiger Firnis. Platte vertikal gebrochen. Oben mittig zwei Löcher einer alten Aufhängung, unten rechts restaurierte Fehlstelle.
Provenienz: Durch Erbschaft in heutigen Schweizer Privatbesitz.
Der Maler dieses sehr attraktiven Gemäldes konnte bis jetzt nicht mit Sicherhiet identifiziert werden. Es könnte sich um einen Künstler aus dem Umkreis der Utrechter Caravaggisten handeln, der aber wahrscheinlich selbst nicht in Utrecht lebte. Eine Zuschreibung an Christiaen van Couwenbergh oder Jan van Dalen wären möglich.
