Mongolei. Zanabazar Schule, 17.–18.Jh. Bronze, vergoldet. Buddha sitzt in vajrasana auf doppeltem Lotossockel und hält eine Patra mit beiden Händen in dyana mudra.
Der breite Saum seiner Robe sowie der unter Teil seines Sockels ist graviert mit Floralmuster. Gehobene Urna auf seiner Stirn. Resten einer blauen Bemalung auf seinem lockigen Haupt. Ushnisha gekrönt mit goldenem Juwel. Mit Verschluss, darauf teilvergoldete, gravierte Visvavajra. H 18,5 cm.

1127. A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITABHA
MONGOLIA, ZANABAZAR SCHOOL, 17-18TH CENTURY
Seated in vajrasana on a elevated double-lotus base. He holds a begging bowl and wears monk`s robe falling in pleats at his shoulder and feet and folded in front, an urna in his forehead. His robe and the lotus base are with engraved floral pattern. Remains of a blue paint on his with golden jewel topped head. Shutter with partially gilt and engraved Visvavajra. Height 18.5 cm (7.3 inch). Provenience: Collection A. Altangerel, Mongolia.
