* 1130. Thangka des Amitabha

Mongolei, 18./19.Jh. Farbe auf Baumwolle. Im Zentrum sitzt Amitabha in seinem Paradies Sukhavati auf einem Lotosthron und hält eine Almosenschale in beiden Händen. Er ist umgeben von einem Kopf- und Körpernimbus. Vor ihm liegt der Lotosteich, hinter ihm sein Palast. Er wird flankiert von Padmapani und der grünen Tara und ist umgeben von Mönchen. Der Himmelsraum enthält Darstellung von weiteren Buddhas und Himmelswesen. Knitterspuren, Farbverlust. In Seidenrahmen. 68x46 (106x55 cm).

Mineral pigment on cotton. In his paradise Sukhavati Amitabha sits on a lotus-throne, holding a begging bowl with two hands. A lotus pond is in front and his palace is behind him. His surrounded by Padmapani, Green Tara and monks. Dakinis and Bodhisattvas are in the sky in the upper part. In silk-frame. 68x46 cm (26.75x18.1 inches) and 106x55 cm (41.75x21.65 inches). Provenience: Collection A. Altangerel, Mongolia.
