(Beschabt und bestossen). - Die fehlenden Tafn.: Bd. 1: 1, 8, 15, 20, 20b, 22, 32a, 33 (Karte der Schweiz, Burgdorf, Grindelwaldgletscher, Thun u.a.), Bd. 2: 39, 48, 59 (Petersplatz in Basel, Rheinfall, Pfäfers; Nr. 36 und 37 auf 1 Taf.). - Die Tafn. gut erhalten, mit Altersspuren, im 2. Bd. z. T. stärker wasserfleckig und mit Einrissen und Papierdefekten, tls. hinterlegt, restaueriert und ergänzt.
Monumentales Ansichtenwerk über die Schweiz, bei welchem der äusserst rühriger holländischer Verleger, wie so oft in seiner übrigen Verlagsproduktion, allerdings nur auf ältere Vorlagen von Merian u.a. zurückgegriffen hat.
