53. Grosse Vase, Konakowo
1960er Jahre. Russland. Fayence, Dekor nach S. Tschechonin: Szenen der Oktoberrevolution in roter Schablonenmalerei, schwarze Inschrift "10 Tage die die Welt erschütterten". Bezeichnet (wohl Malermarke). H 42,5 cm.

1959 feiert die Manufaktur Konakowo ihr 150jähriges Bestehen. Zu diesem Jubiläum greift sie auf Themen und Darstellungen der Oktoberrevolution zurück.
Vorbild für den Dekor der Vase ist das von S. Tschechonin gestaltete Titelblatt der russischen Übersetzung des gleichnamigen Buches des Amerikaners John Reed, worin dieser über die Geschehnisse der Oktoberrevolution von 1917 berichtet. Die Originalfassung erscheint 1919, die russische Übersetzung 1923.
