902. Südpersischer Teppich?
S-Iran, wohl Bakhtiar, um 1880. Sehr aussergewöhnliche Musterung. Einflüsse kaukasischer Teppiche spiegeln sich in diesem Stück wider. Kette aus Seide, Flor aus Wolle. Ein mit S-Symbolen in unendlichem Rapport geschmücktes Giebelband bildet die Gebetsnische (Mihrab). Im roten Mittelfeld ist ein dekoratives, mit Wolkenbändern belegtes Blüten-Medaillon angelegt, rundherum flankiert von einem blühenden Lebensbaum auf grünem Grund, 4 weissen Kartuschen als Eckzwickel, Blüten und weiteren kaukasischen Zeichnungen. Die blaue Wellenranken-Innenborte säumt die breite weisse Vogel-Hauptbordüre. Die Aussenborte ist rundherum entfernt worden, mehrere reparierte Stellen. Ein Riss in der Bordüre. 101x149 cm (ft. 3.3x4.9).
