1244. Weissgrundige Lekythos
Attisch, ca. 490–480 v.C. Ton. Schwarzfigurig auf weissem Grund, Details in Rot. Gigantomachie: Athena nach links im Kampf gegen zwei Giganten, der Vordere kniend, der Hintere stehend. Mit der Lanze bewaffnet, greift sie ihre Gegner an. Sie trägt die Ägis über dem Chiton und den attischen Helm mit hohem Helmbusch. Hinter ihr marschiert ein Krieger nach rechts. Die Bildszene wird oben durch einen linksläufigen Mäander gerahmt. Am Hals lange schwarze Strahlen, Zungenfries am Halsansatz, Schulter mit acht Palmetten. H 23 cm. - Intakt und prachtvoll erhalten.
