Der klassische Stahlrohr-Sessel S 411 wurde Anfang der 1930er Jahre vom Thonet Design-Team in Anlehnung an den revolutionierenden Freischwinger von Mart Stam entworfen und gehört heute zu den Klassikern unter den freischwingenden Möbeln.
Der S 411 ist der erste Freischwinger mit Polsterung im Thonet-Sortiment.
