(Rovigo, 2.Hälfte 17.Jh.–1.Hälfte 18.Jh.)
Gegenstücke: Blumen in einer Porzellanvase, daneben ein kleinerer Strauss in einer Bronzevase. Öl auf Leinwand. Auf einem unten links Reste einer Signatur. Je 110x142 cm.
- Doubliert, neue Keilrahmen, eines mit einer vertikalen Bruchstelle auf der Höhe des Keilrahmens.
Provenienz: Schweizer Privatbesitz.
Elisabetta Marchioni, in der Vergangenheit des Öfteren mit Francesco Guardi verwechselt und seit Jahren hinter den Notnamen "Francesco Guardi dei fiori" oder "Maestro dei fiori guardeschi" versteckt, gilt heute als eine der Hauptvertreterinnen der Stillebenmalerei des Inneren Veneto des 18. Jahrhunderts. Die Kompositionen von Marchioni zeichnen sich oft durch die Darstellung von zwei Vasen aus unterschiedlichen Materialien auf dunkelgrünen steinernen Plinthen aus, wodurch eine malerische Zufälligkeit erzeugt wird, die durch die helle Palette der Blumen noch betont wird (für eine Zusammenfassung über Marchioni, vgl. z.B.
