1017. Yi-dam Kalacakra

Tibet. Feuervergoldete Bronze, die Gesichter kalt bemalt. Sockel separat gegossen. Auf doppeltem Lotos-Sockel stehender Yi-dam Kalacakra in yab-yum mit seiner weiblichen Entsprechung (Prajna) auf den Hindugöttern Rudra und Kama. Kalacakra ist viergesichtig und vierundzwanzigarmig dargestellt und steht im Seitenschritt nach links. In seinen Armen hält er die wichtigen Symbole des Tantrismus, in den beiden Händen mit denen er seine Prajna umarmt, befinden sich Vajra und Ghanta. Die Prajna ist viergesichtig und achtarmig. Auch sie hält in ihren Händen tantrische Symbole. Boden verschlossen und graviert mit doppeltem Vajra. H 40 cm.
