614. Reliquienkästchen
Wohl 19.Jh., in der Art von Limoges des frühen 13. Jahrhunderts. Rechteckiges Holzgehäuse auf 4 Füsschen in Hausform mit Satteldach. Der sechsfach durchbrochene Firstkamm ist mit 3 Kreuz-Medaillons verziert. Rückseitig Klapptürchen mit Eisenschloss (ohne Schlüssel). Allseitig (ausser über Türchen) vergoldete Kupferplatten mit farbigem Email champlevé. Auf der Vorderseite Darstellung der Majestas Domini. Darüber auf der Dachschräge ein Engel in Aureole, begleitet von 2 Heiligen. Die Stirnwände zeigen 2 segnende Heiligenfiguren in Mandorla, die eine mit Schriftrolle, die andere mit Buch. Die rückseitige Dachschräge sowie die Seitenstücke des Klapptürchens sind mit farbigen Kreuzblüten geschmückt. Alle Figuren sind fein ziseliert, ihre Köpfe sind tlw. gegossen und appliziert (Frontseite). Der lapislazuliblaue Fond ist reich mit Rosetten (recto) bzw. mit Blütenranken (Seiten) ornamentiert. 15,5x8,5x19 cm.
- Leicht berieben. Minimale Schad- und Fehlstellen.
Das vorliegende Objekt ist mit einem Reliquienkästchen vergleichbar, das sich in der Schatzkammer der Kirche St. Margaret in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim befindet. Es handelt sich mit grosser Wahrscheinlichkeit um eine Replik des Goldschmieds Conrad Anton Beumers (1837–1921).
