3043. Deutschland (Süddeutschland), um 1600
Die Heilige Familie. Braune Feder über Bleigriffel. 17,7x14,2 cm. Gerahmt. - Auf Bütten mit WZ "Lilie im Kreis". Von zeitgen. Hand Mitte links im Bild numeriert „44“. – Etwas fleckig und beschabt und mit leichtem Tintenfrass an vereinzelten Stellen.
Sehr ansprechende Zeichnung eines deutschen Manieristen, die wohl als Werkzeichnung gedient haben könnte. Die überlieferte Zuschreibung an Hans Rottenhammer (München 1564-1625 Augsburg) scheint mangels ganz stichhaltigen Vergleichsmaterials in seinem Werk überhaupt nicht zwingend. Den Autor muss man aber sicher unter den um das Jahr 1600 im süddeutschen Raum tätigen Künstlern suchen, sei es eben in Augsburg, oder auch an den Höfen von München oder Prag (vgl. z.B. die Madonna mit Kind in der Albertina, Inv. Nr. 3308, die früher als ein Werk von Hans von Aachen galt, jetzt als anonymer Münchner Meister katalogisiert wurde).
