3045. Deutschland, Mitte 17.Jh.
Schlechte Nachricht. Ein kniender Bote vor einem greisen Hausherrn und Gesinde. Kreide auf graublauem Papier. 19,5x26,5 cm. - Alt auf Sammlungsunterlage aufgezogen. Etwas gebräunt und fleckig. Einige restaurierte Randmängel. Die rechte untere Ecke mit restauriertem Einriss von ca. 5 cm.
Alte Zuschreibung an Hans Ulrich Franck (um 1590–1675), dessen radiertes Werk (vor allem sein Kriegstheatrum, zw. 1643 und 1656 entstandene lose Folge von 25 Bll. mit dramatischen Episoden des Kriegsalltags), ebenso wie die wenigen, ihm mit einiger Sicherheit zuzuschreibenden Zeichnungen, einen deutlich lebhafteren, dramatischeren Duktus aufweisen. Süddeutschland, wohl Augsburg, von einem an der holländischen Genremalerei geschulten Maler aus der Umgebung/ in der Nachfolge von H.U. Franck, Joh.Hch. Schönfeld (1609-1684) u.ä.
