3854. Dolch

im deutschen Stil 1. Hälfte 16.Jh., aus originalen und ergänzten Teilen. Eisengefäss, schmaler, länglicher und niedriger Knauf, Nietfläche stark gewölbt und mehrfach vertikal gerillt; die glatte sehr schmale konische Basis wird durch einen geschnürlten Wulst von der Niethälfte getrennt. Parierstange mit kurzen leicht ortwärts gebogenen Armen, grosse spiralig gerillte Kugelenden, Griffbasis ebenfalls gerillt. Holzgriff. Zweischneidige Klinge (L 28,8 cm), beidseitig ein Mittelgrat. L 41 cm.

Ähnliche Dolche werden auch als „Maximilian dagger“ bezeichnet, vgl. H.L.Peterson, Daggers & Fighting Knives of the Western World, 1968, Abb.45.
