Salvatore Errante Parrino war in den 1970er Jahren Autor, Regisseur und Schauspieler in einer Reihe von Vorstellungen für das Theater von Ca' Foscari. Er ist aber auch Maler und Schriftsteller (La traccia dell'acqua, Morganti Editori, 2011). In das Friaul verliebt, wo er seit längerer Zeit im Dorf Santa Marizza lebt, taucht er durch mit seiner Malerei in die friaulische Landschaft aber auch in seine Heimatstadt Venedig ein.
