Beim Dorfarzt. Bleigriffel auf Pergament, 1638. 21,4x18,5 cm. Unten rechts monogrammiert und datiert. - Sehr gut erhalten. - Alt auf Sammlungsunterlage montiert.

Quast schuf neben den Ölbildern auch sorgfältig, bildmässig ausgeführte Zeichnungen auf edlerem Material (Pergament). Dabei fügte er seinen satirischen Genrebildern aus dem Bauernmilieu, die ähnlich den Werken seiner Zeitgenossen Brouwer oder Adriaen van Ostade ganz in der Tradition der flämischen Bauernmalerei in der Nachfolge Pieter Brueghels stehen, dem ironischen Ton oft eine ernstere Note bei. So wie in der vorliegenden Zeichnung mit dem Memento mori-Motiv (Totenschädel auf der Ablage rechts).
