1005. Bronzeschwert
Mitteleuropa, Spätbronzezeit/Urnenfelderkultur, ca. 1200 v. Chr. Provenienz: 1996 aufgelöste Sammlung Bally-Briord, Schönenwerd. Vollgriffschwert vom Typus Riegsee mit aufgegossenem und vernietetem Griffstück. Dasselbe verziert mit gravierten Wellenmäandern; runde Knaufplatte mit kugelförmigem Abschluss. Die Klinge mit blattförmig geschwungenem Umriss, ausgeprägtem Mittelgrat und je zwei Dreierlinien-Bündeln im vorderen Drittel. Von der Spitze fehlen ca. 1,5 cm. Auf der Klinge zweimal die alte Sammlungsnummer 7158. Diese Schwertform wurde in der frühen Eisenzeit, ab ca. 800 v. Chr. bisweilen 1:1 aus dem neuen Werkstoff gefertigt. G 1374 g, L 71,5 cm.
