1045. Steinschloss-Pistolenpaar

England, London, um 1780/90, Offizierswaffen. Bunt angelassene Rundläufe (L 23 cm) mit Standvisier und Silberkorn, Kal. 16 mm. Auf der Oberseite bez. "D. Egg London". Schlossplatten und Hähne flach, erstere sign. "D. Egg", zurückhaltend floral graviert. Mechanismen einwandfrei. Floral gravierte Eisengarnituren, am Abzugbügel ein umrankter "Union Jack". Nussbaum-Vollschäfte mit aufwändig gewaffelten Griffstücken. Holzladestöcke mit Horndoppern.
Durs Egg, Sohn eines Schweizer Büchsenmachers, wanderte um 1768 nach London aus, wo er 1772 sein eigenes Geschäft eröffnete und bald zu den fähigsten Büchsenmachern der Stadt gezählt wurde. L 36,5 cm.
