Japan, Edo-Zeit (1603–1867). Klinge in Hira-zukuri mit Iori-mune, L 36,4 cm (Nagasa). Hamon in Gunome-Toran-midare. Ko-Itame-hada mit Mokume. Beidseitig in der Mitte minim fleckig. Gut erhaltene, ältere Politur. Eine Signatur ist nicht festzustellen, da das ergänzte Mekugi aus Messing kaum aus dem Griff/Tsuka zu lösen ist. Habaki aus vergoldetem Kupfer mit "Katzenkratzspuren". Tantô-Tsuba mit Hitsu-ana aus geschwärztem Eisen. Montiert in einer rot lackierten Saya mit Kurigata und Kaeri-tsuno. Menuki in Blütenform. Fuchi und Kashira aus Shakudô en suite mit Kranichen und Blüten verziert. Blaugrüne Griffwicklung über qualitätvoller Rochenhaut. Auf der Sashi-ura mit Längsrissen. Kozuka und Kogai wohl ergänzt, mit Fischmotiven. Gute Klinge in qualitätvoller Montierung. L ohne Saya 54 cm.
