"Neptun schenkt Indien Zitrusfrüchte". Rötelzeichnung, grau laviert. Blattgrösse 28,5x21,8 cm. Gerahmt.
- Auf Papier mit nicht id. WZ. - Etwas fleckig, gebräunt und leicht berieben. Verso mit Resten alter Montierung.
Provenienz:
- Privatbesitz Basel.
J.F. Greuters Kupferstich "Nettuno porge gli agrumi all'India" basiert wohl auf einem Gemälde (oder einer Zeichnung) desselben Themas von G. Reni, das sich früher in der Sammlung des Palazzo Monaldi in Perugia befand und heute unauffindbar ist. Der Druck ist Teil des reichhaltigen Bildbandes "De Flora Cultura" des Jesuiten G.B. Ferrari, hrsg. 1633.
