1005. Halbarte
Schweiz / Süddeutschland, im Stil des 15. Jh. Gefertigt durch Atelier Ernst Schmidt (?), München. Oberfläche eines gut erhaltenen Boden- oder Gewässerfundes. Eisen (L 60 cm) mit zweischneidiger Blattspitze mit Mittelgrat und hochrechteckigem Axtblatt. Diese Spitze ist in das konische Ende der oberen Schafttülle eingenietet. Die Schneide verläuft leicht konkav. Zwei Schafttüllen befinden sich am Rücken. Die untere ist mittels zweier Schaftnägel am Schaft befestigt. Das Axtblatt inklusive der Tüllen wurde aus einer Platte aus inhomogenem Raffinierstahl durch Umfalzen geschmiedet. Vierkantschaft mit gerundeten Kanten. L 208 cm.
Analysen an einer "Sempacher" Halbarte derselben Machart aus zwei stärkeren Blechen ergaben eine Herkunft aus den Werkstätten von Ernst Schmidt, München, wo zwischen 1880 und ca. 1930 hochwertige Repliken mittelalterlicher Waffen hergestellt wurden.
