1014. Harnischbrust
Nürnberg, um 1570-1580. Blanke knechtische Brustplatte mit Mittelgrat und tiefem Tapul. Unter dem grob geschnürlten Brechrand, links vom Mittelgrat ist die Nürnberger Beschaumarke berieben erhalten. Etwas unterhalb, im Bereich des Grates, drei im gleichseitigen Dreieck angeordnete Körnermarken. Die durch Einhiebe grob geschnürlten Armausschnitte sind wie der Bauchreifen einfach geschoben. Rechts eine Niete modern ergänzt. Die Lederriemen zum Anhängen der Beintaschen sind mit blütenförmig eingefassten Eisennieten befestigt. Die Innenseite der Brust ist hammerfrisch belassen, die Aussenseite geschliffen, ohne die Hammerspuren ganz zu beseitigen. Das Stück dürfte ursprünglich geschwärzt gewesen sein. H 42 cm, B 36,5 cm.
