Das hier angebotene Gemälde könnte eine Studie für das Gemälde «Pilger auf der Via Appia» sein. Die Perspektive mit der Strasse von rechts nach links im Vordergrund und die Stadt mit dem Petersdom im Hintergrund sowie die Stimmung mit der untergehenden Sonne entsprechen sich.
Wir danken Herrn Henrik Hanstein für seine Hilfe bei der Katalogisierung dieses Gemäldes (Email vom 20.2.2023). Das
Werk wird in das Werkverzeichnis des Künstlers aufgenommen.
