Entwurf um 1970 für Poltronova, Pistoia. Frühe Ausführung 1970/80er Jahre. Stahlrahmen auf Rollen. Schaumstoffpolsterung. Schwarzer Lederbezug mit Messingösen. Bezeichnet "JOE MADE IN ITALY" und Stern (geprägt). Sitzhöhe 37 cm. 165x110x83 cm.

Mit dem Entwurf dieses Sessels huldigen die Designer dem amerikanischen Baseballspieler Joe Di Maggio (1914–1999), Ehemann von Marylin Monroe. Sie zielten darauf ab, mit Ironie und Leichtigkeit die starren Regeln des Rationalismus zu überwinden und sich der Welt des Pops zu öffnen.
