1055. Thangka des Begtse Chen (Beg tse)

Mongolei, 18.Jh. Farbe und Gold auf Leinwand. Der dreiäugige, zornige Dharmapala im Ausfallschritt, ein Pferd und einen Menschen niedertretend. Er trägt ein Panzerhemd mit Harnisch und mongolische Stiefel, um seine Hüfte ein Tigerfell. Seine rechte erhobene Hand hält das Flammenschwert, die linke ein blutendes, menschliches Herz. Beg tse wird begleitet von der Löwen reitenden Rigs bu mo sowie dem Krieger Srog bdag. In der himmlischen Sphäre thronen der Buddha Amitabha sowie Padmasambhava. Lichtmass 53x38 cm, gerahmt 85x58 cm.
