409. Golddose mit Emailmalerei, Charles Colins & Söhne
Hanau, um 1830. 14K-Gold "quatre couleurs". Meistermarke Charles Colins & Söhne. Gerundete Rechteckform. Allseitig äusserst fein ziselierte Blattranken und reliefierte Blüten, teilweise blau emailliert auf Sablé-Grund. Im Deckel eingelassene Emailmalerei, signiert B. px. (*Johann Daniel Berneaud), pastorale Szene darstellend. Umrandet von ca. 92 Altschliffdiamanten, ca. 92 Diamantrosen. In den Ecken rot-grüner Emaildekor. Meistermarke CCS, weitere undeutliche Marke. 8,8x6,3x2 cm, ca. 149 g.
* Johann Daniel Berneaud (Hanau 1773–1861) bildete sich in Genf zum Emailmaler aus. Arbeitete mit Antoine Carteret zusammen. Um 1815 kehrte er in seine Heimat zurück, wo er für verschiedene Goldschmiede arbeitete. Seine bevorzugten Motive sind Allegorien und Blumen. Goethe soll zu seinen Bewunderern gezählt haben. Zu dieser Zeit erhielt Berneaud auch erste Aufträge aus dem türkischen Sultanat.
