629. Jagd-Armbrust
Schweiz, Schaffhausen, 2. Hälfte 16. Jh. Auf der Ober- und Unterseite verbeinte Säule (L 77 cm) mit gravierten Zierlinien; Bolzenlager und Nuss ebenfalls aus Bein. Ergänzter Bolzenklemmer aus Horn. Am hinteren Ende der Säule wurde während der gebrauchsphase ein Nussbaumstück von 14,5 cm Länge angefügt. Vorne ein Trag-/Hängering aus Eisen. Klappvisier im Verlauf der Gebrauchsphase ergänzt. Abzugbügel aus Stahl. Brünierter Stahlbogen (L 54 cm) ohne Marken. Wohl im 19. Jh. ergänzte Schnurwicklung und Sehne. Zahnstangenwinde mit Traghaken und Jahreszahl "1540". Auf dem Gehäuse des Windenmechanismus eine wappenförmige Marke mit zwei Diagonalen. L 79 cm.

Laut Einliefererangaben stammt diese Armbrust ursprünglich aus dem Besitz der Schaffhauser Patrizierfamilie von Waldkirch.
