5722. Übergrosses Zweihand-Rapier

Tschechien, Kollin, im Stil 2. Hälfte 16.Jh., Arbeit: Schwertschmied Pavel Mocz, um 2000. Komplexes Kreuzgefäss aus Eisen mit vierfach facettiertem, eiförmigem Knauf mit Knaufhals, gerader Parierstange (L 34,5 cm) von vierkantigem Querschnitt mit Terz- und Quartparierring en suite, sowie zwei symmetrisch vorgelagerten Parierringen / Eselshufen. Bauchige Hilze aus dunkel gebeiztem Holz (L 73,8 cm). Zweischneidige Stossklinge von massiv rautenförmigem Querschnitt (L 165 cm) mit 13 cm langer Fehlschärfe. Darauf die Inschrift "PAULUS MOCZ COLLIN / ME FECIT ANNO 1573 ". Alle Bestandteile gekonnt mittels künstlicher Patinierung und oberflächlichen Korrosionsspuren gealtert. L 248 cm, G ca. 2800 g.

Moderne Nachschöpfung eines in seinen Abmessungen kuriosen Originalstücks, wohl aus einer tschechischen Sammlung.
