599. Spitzenbild
Alpenländisch, Mitte 18.Jh. Deckfarben auf Pergament, beidseitig bemalt. Recto Brustbild der Anna Juliana Gonzaga als Servitin, verso Abbild als Verstorbene. Umgeben von feinster Spitze mit Ranken, Vögeln, Säulen und flammenden Herzen. 11,5x7 cm. Gerahmt.

Die als Anna Caterina Gonzaga (1566–1621) in Mantua geborene Anna Juliana hat schon als Kind Visionen der Jungfrau Maria. Auf Wunsch ihrer Eltern heiratet sie jedoch Erzherzog Ferdinand II. von Österreich. Sie haben drei Töchter, die älteste verstirbt noch im ersten Lebensjahr. Nach dem Tod Ferdinands führt sie ein streng religiöses Leben und teilt ihren Reichtum mit den Ärmsten der Stadt Innsbruck. In einer weiteren Vision erhält sie von Maria den Auftrag, ein Servitinnen-Kloster (OSM - Ordo Servorum Mariae) zu erbauen. Im Beisein des Bischofs von Brixen wird 1607 der Grundstein gelegt und nach Vollendung des Baus tritt Anna Caterina Gonzaga ebenfalls in den Orden ein. Sie nennt sich ab dann Anna Juliana, zu Ehren der Ordensgründerin Juliana Falconieri.
