Provenienz:
- „Georgius Wagner Presbyter“, Kpfst. Wappen-EL auf dem vorderen Spiegel (17. Jh.).
- Nachlass Heinrich Angst (1847–1922), erster Direktor des Landesmuseums (1892–1903). Hch. Angst war massgeblich an der Kampagne beteiligt, welche 1890 zur Errichtung des Schweiz. Landesmuseums und 1891 zum Entscheid für dessen Standort in Zürich führte.
Geilers 138 Fastenzeit-Predigten zum Brants Narrenschiff erschienen in der lateinischen Übersetzung von Jacob Otter (1485–1547) und mit Geilers Vita von Beatus Rhenanus (1485–1547) zum ersten Mal 1510 bei Matth. Schürer in Strassburg und wurden im folgenden Jahr (VD 16 G 779), ebenfalls bei Schürer, um die Basler Illustrationen zum Brants Narrenschiff (die z. T. A. Dürer zugeschrieben werden) ergänzt. Knoblochs Ausgabe von 1513 folgt im Text der Ausgabe von 1511, blieb jedoch ohne Illustrationen.
