Schweiz, 17.Jh. Eisen. Zylindrischer Korpus mit Standring. Mittig umlaufendes Verstärkungsband. Rückseitig kräftiger Bügelgriff. Im Deckelinnern vierriegeliges Schloss mit ziselierten Deckplatten. Schlüsselloch wird durch Manipulation des Vexierverschlusses freigegeben. Mit Schlüssel. H 28,5 cm bzw. D 19,5 cm.

Kassetten dieses Typs konnten einerseits mittels Ketten an einer Kutsche festgebunden werden, um so mitgeführte Wertsachen vor möglichen Raubüberfällen zu schützen. Andererseits fanden sie bei Feldzügen als kleine Kriegskassen Verwendung.
