Gegenstücke: Blumen in einer Porzellanvase, daneben ein kleinerer Strauss in einer Bronzevase. Öl auf Leinwand. Auf einem unten links Reste einer Signatur. Je 110x142 cm.
- Doubliert, neue Keilrahmen, eines mit einer vertikalen Bruchstelle auf der Höhe des Keilrahmens.

Pendants: Flowers in a porcelain vase and in a smaller bronze vase. Oil on canvas. On one painting, remains of a signature lower left. Each 110x142 cm.
- Relined, new stretcher, one with a vertical break at the height of the stretcher.

Provenienz: Schweizer Privatbesitz.
Elisabetta Marchioni, in der Vergangenheit des Öfteren mit Francesco Guardi verwechselt und seit Jahren hinter den Notnamen "Francesco Guardi dei fiori" oder "Maestro dei fiori guardeschi" versteckt, gilt heute als eine der Hauptvertreterinnen der Stillebenmalerei des Inneren Veneto des 18. Jahrhunderts. Die Kompositionen von Marchioni zeichnen sich oft durch die Darstellung von zwei Vasen aus unterschiedlichen Materialien auf dunkelgrünen steinernen Plinthen aus, wodurch eine malerische Zufälligkeit erzeugt wird, die durch die helle Palette der Blumen noch betont wird (für eine Zusammenfassung über Marchioni, vgl. z.B. Elisabetta Marchioni, often confused with Francesco Guardi and hidden for years under the nickname of ‘Francesco Guardi dei fiori’ or ‘Maestro dei fiori guardeschi’, is nowadays considered one of the main characters of the still life paintings in the 18th Century inner Veneto. Marchioni’s compositions are often characterized by the representation of two vases of different materials set on dark-green stone ledges, in order to create a deliberate effect of picturesque randomness emphasized by the bright palette of the flowers (for a summary on Marchioni see, e.g., E. Safarik et al., ‘Elisabetta Marchioni’, in: F. Zeri / F. Porzio, ed. by, La natura morta in Italia. Milan, 1989, vol. I, pp. 329-333).
