3846. Ganzer Harnisch
Im Stile 16.Jh., deutsche Herstellung um 1900, als „venezianischer Harnisch“ bezeichnet. Visierhelm, Harnischkragen, Harnischbrust und Rücken, geschobenes Beintaschenpaar, Armzeug mit Handschuhen, Beinzeug mit Schuhabdeckungen. Alle Teile mit reichem geätztem Rankendekor vor geschwärztem Grund, auf der Brust das Wappen der Colleoni und die Beschriftung „Bartolomeo Colleoni“. Originaler kleiner Sockel. H 169 cm.
Bartolomeo Colleoni (ca. 1400-1475) war ein erfolgreicher Heerführer (Condottiere) im Dienste Venedigs und erhielt nach seinem Tode in Venedig ein Reiter-Denkmal, ausgeführt von Verrocchio, das zu den bekanntesten Denkmälern der Renaissance zählt. Derartige Harnische wurden um 1900 für 225.- Goldmark verkauft und dienten als Dekorstücke und Reiseerinnerung.
