1064. Prunk-Harnischkragen

Fragment, Deutschland/Schweiz, 1. Hälfte 17. Jh. Leichtes, gehärtetes Stahlblech, Materialstärke unter 1 mm; Kupferreste. Wohl Rangabzeichen eines Offiziers. Halsausschnitt oben gebördelt und mit Wendelmuster befeilt. Halsröhre mit fensterartigen Durchbrechungen gearbeitet. Die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit der Innenseite weicht von derjenigen des Kragenstücks ab. Das angenietete Kragenstück aufwändig getrieben mit zentralem, ungedeutetem Familienwappen "Sonne über gekreuzten Blumen, darunter ein Hund/Wolf". Greifen als Wappenhalter, zu den Seiten und nach unten hin floraler Dekor. Rand mit Befestigunslöchern für das verlorene Innenfutter. Rechtsseitig kleiner Materialausbruch. Aussenseite gereinigt. Reste der im 17. Jh. aufkommenden Verkupferung könnten als Indiz auf eine ehemalige Vergoldung des Stücks hindeuten. Qualitätvolle Plattnerarbeit. L ca. 32 cm, H ca. 17 cm.
