300. Raoul François Larche, Tischleuchte "La Danse, la Loïe Fuller"
(Saint-André-de-Cubzac 1860–1912 Paris)
Bronze, feuervergoldet. Künstlersignatur "RAOUL LARCHE" (geprägt), Giesserstempel "SIOT-PARIS", "Z 640" (bossiert). Neu elektrifiziert (E14). H 32,5 cm.

Von der amerikanischen Tänzerin Loïe Fuller – mit bürgerlichem Namen Mary Louis Fuller – fasziniert, schuf Raoul François Larche diese Figur als Hommage an die Tänzerin, welche von 1892 bis 1899 mit ihrem Serpentinentanz im Pariser Theater "Les Folies Bergères" auftrat und so manchen Künstler der Zeit in ihren Bann zog. Somit wurde sie in diversen Kunstwerken u.a. von Auguste Rodin, Stéphane Mallarmé, James McNeill Whistler und Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec verewigt. Eine der bekanntesten Darstellung schuf mit dieser Tischleuchte, welche auf der Pariser Weltaustellung 1900 gezeigt wurde, Raoul Larche und machte Loïe Fuller damit zum neuen Symbol des Jugendstils.
